The The Minnesota Office of Rural Health and Primary Care grants Tuition Loan Forgiveness to pharmacist serving in high-need areas. Program Purpose: The purpose of Minnesota Health Professional Loan Forgiveness Program is to recruit and pharmacists to needed areas and facilities in Minnesota. Loan Forgiveness is an important benefit for health care professionals as well as health care facilities, and communities experiencing a shortage of access to health care services. Please provide an essay describing how you as a pharmacist have ties to the Minnesota rural community, have an understanding of why the patient population is underserved, will address access to health care issues, and how your experiences will change health care outcomes of the patient population you will be serving. Note: All applicants have similar education backgrounds; describe what makes you uniquely qualified for this program. Per state statute, preference is given to those applicants closest to completing their training as well as those who can demonstrate cultural competencies.
