Research Frame Relay Technology. Internally most networks are based on Ethernet (IEEE 802.3) standard or Token passing (IEEE 802.5). The most common throughput locally is 100 Mps Ethernet. Determine if one can connect the LAN to the WAN using Frame Relay technology and maintain quality of service (QoS). Additionally, determine if this technology is an improvement over the QoS that other transmission methods like packet switching or circuit switching provide using Ethernet. What kind of network speed can you get with Frame Relay? When would you use which technology?
