Good morning Professor and Peers,

Happy new year everyone! My name is Zakkiyya . I am a first time Strayer student studying for a Bachelor degree in business administration. This is my first year continuing my education and combined with my work experience im hoping to advance in my current field in the gaming industry. My current profession is a table games dealer ( blackjack 21, poker, and craps/dice). In this profession you handle large amounts of currency so you must be proficient with addition, and subtraction. Your basic math skills.

Im hoping this course will help me expand my knowledge of problem solving and communication skills by teaching me the tools I need to effectively communicate what job needs completion. How to solve problems in the event of short staffing, emergencies in the workplace, employee relationships. Depending on your title some of these behaviors are learned and some are with experience. Together we have eleven weeks to explore the different management types .
