Write an essay exploring why these selections have impacted “you”

Your essay must be one page exactly in length, single-spaced, no more, no less. Use one inch margins all around and a 12 point Times New Roman font. This assignment is an exercise in craft and revision, trying to say the most within a tight frame.

Consider the readings from this semester that have most engaged you and then narrow your list to three (or less). Write an essay exploring why these selections have impacted you. What have they given you pause to think about that has surprised or enlightened you? If, as some claim, literature deepens our experience of the world, setting in motion our private concerns, then how might these reading selections factor into your own emerging “world view”?
